Apple Release CycleOctober 18, 2011
so Apple has released the iPhone 4s and we have all had time to play and yes we are all impressed, but did you really expect anything else?
But after the announcement there was so bad vibes that there was no iPhone 5, now I was one that was a bit dissapointed but I think I got carried away by all the tech blogs banging on about it.
But a comment on the podcast This Week In Google (TWIG) got me thinking about the Apple release schedule. The comment basically said that Apple was slowing down its release cycle because people are tided in to two year contract and can not afford to pay to upgrade every year in the current economic hard time.
This certainly is the case for me, I have only just upgraded my iPhone 3GS as I to was in a contract and was just coming into the window where I could upgrade at a cheap price. But I have to say that I was thinking about getting the free older but perfectly useable iphone 4. But it was only when my boss said he would pay for the iPhone 4S because this will be the phone you will have for the next 2 years. after thinking about for a while I came to the same conclusion, which means looking into the future my next upgrade looks like it will be the iPhone 5S and I’m happy with that.
I have to say that this is a smart move by Apple, I also think that this gives the mobile phone companies time to get there network in order so they can handle the ever increasing data useage that we are all increasing month by month.
This was just a little thought I had, I know I am a bit late in posting this thought but it’s better late then never. This entry was posted in Tech and tagged apple, iphone. Bookmark the permalink. ← No.62 Mad ON:House The Envirofone Con →
